www.upsconline.nic.in Exam notification for NDA-I Exam 2012 Online apply

NDA-I Exam 2012 Notification Eligibility FormsExam notification for NDA-I Exam 2012 has been published by UPSC just yesterday for admission to NDA (National Defence Academy) & NA (Naval Academy). Online submission of form has also began and the last date for submission of NDA 2012 application form is 30th January 2012.
You can click here to download the NDA-I Exam 2012 Notification.

Through this defence entrance exam, you can get admission to two defence institutes:

1.0 NDA: In the Army/Air Force/ Navy wings.

While this blog post focuses on Eligibility & application form processes of NDA, in another blog article titled NDA exam prep material I would provide you all the study materials required to prepare for this exam - the sample papers, books, SSB Interview prep material etc.
Why this exam is called NDA (I)? Because NDA exam is held twice every year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) - Exam (I) in mid-April and Exam (II) in mid-August. My previous blog post titled: NDA Exam – what & why? introduces you to NDA exam and why you should appear in it.

With above primer, let us find what are the important dates/schedule of NDA exam –I 2012.

Important dates for NDA-I 2012:

Also only MALE, UNMARRIED candidates are allowed to appear in NDA exam.

Academic eligibility for NDA exam:
You need to pass Class-XII or equivalent examination for Army wings of NDA (Physics & Maths in Class-XII is not a must.)
However for applying to the Air Force/Navy wings of NDA and for applying to Naval Academy, you must have studied Physics & Maths in your Class-XII.

If you are currently studying in Class-XII, you can also appear in the exam, provided you can provide the proof passing the exam by 5th December, 2012.

On top of above age and academic eligibility, you also need to have the minimum physical standard as required by UPSC.

Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, which is established in the serene surroundings of beauty of the hills and forests amidst the tribe- inhabited area. The tribes are rich in culture, art and craft. But the scenario regarding their modern education is lagging behind. In view of this fact the University has resolved to provide the best higher education to the tribal youth so that they can march forward to meet the future challenges in every walk of life. At the same time the university is open to all sections of the society. Basic education lays the foundation for a healthy, skilled and agile intellectual human force and life-long education beyond the basics which enables countries to continually assess, adopt and apply new knowledge and have their own importance in a knowledge-based society. Higher education is no longer perceived as an acquisition of a paper degree but obtaining right knowledge, skill and attitude so as to function as a productive member of the society. Quality higher education should make sound personalities shaped by ideals of integrity, character, transparency, forthrightness and compassion for the helpless.
